Treatment description
This is a method of the skin rejuvenation by means of light. This is an all-purpose treatment since it simultaneously deals with fine lines, sun-induced discolorations, freckles, spider veins and face redness, enlarged pores and other disadvantages of skin photo damages. An asset is its less invasive character as compared to chemical peelings or surgical dermabrasion and fast recovery, since the patient can get back to his/her regular activities on the following day.
Right after the treatment the skin is a bit reddish and swollen, and it becomes to peel off after a couple of days. The initial outcome can be observed after the first session.
In order to look really gorgeous, it is necessary to undergo around four treatments at the 1-month interval.
Contraindications
Photorejuvenation with the laser cannot be applied in some cases. All these cases have been listed below:
retinoid-based therapies (topically and systematically);
- photoallergic herbs (St. John’s-wort, marigold, horsetail) and photoallergic drugs (antibiotics, steroids);
- skin cancers;
- photodermatoses;
- skin inflammations;
- suntanned skin, application of bronzer or self-tanning creams;
- recent peelings;
- diabetes;
- connective tissue diseases, e.g. collagen disease
- pregnancy;
- reduced immunity.

It is necessary to protect the skin against the UV radiation, screening those parts of the body that have been treated or use suntan creams with high SPF (+50) for 4 weeks following the treatment. It is forbidden to take photo-allergic agents (St. John’s-wort, marigold, pansy, some drugs).
